Good to know, thanks.
KW, do you think he's going to stay and if so for how long? He's 65 years old now, and in a country well away from his home. Genuine question.
Etc.
Exactly 65, away from home lives above the local chip shop ( well shop) if locals are to be believed, which means he won’t have family with him (guessing) and he can’t speak English....
Barcelona it is then...
Fukk my old boots.
Then order him an ambulance. He's mental.
Apparently Elsa (still not signed) is not only holding out for BW, but Basel's Brazilian striker Arthur Cabral.
The 22 year old 6'2 brick outhouse, who loves a back heel, seems like exactly the sort of striker we're after.
Good to know, thanks.
As an aside who knew that David Moyes spent time in lockdown delivering food parcels to the old and vulnerable?

The issue to me with someone like this is that it must be difficult to plan around a coach like Bielsa. How long will he stay, who do we get to replace him when he goes. Etc.
I don't think he will stay long even if he signs this contract. He never does, anywhere.
And as you say, he is in a foreign country, where he doesn't speak the language (although he is better at understanding English than he lets on, the whole translation thing is a fantastically clever way of keeping the media at bay and never actually saying anything!).
You have to wonder about his family life. Apparently he is married but he can't seen his wife for months. He hardly ever visits Argentina, and I haven't heard of her coming over here, so that is a pretty bizarre relationship if still functioning. He is pretty strange in lots of ways, it has to be said, but how sustainable is such a life style, long term? Plus he has done what he was asked to do, the initial project is over.
I have no idea what kind of succession plan there is to replace him, or even if there is one. LUFC seem to have gone all in on him. There are rumours that he has already signed and the club have decided to withhold announcing it, but that sounds implausible to me. What would be the advantage in that?
He is hard at work now though, planning the new season, contract or no contract. That seems to be definitely the case.
He sounds like a very rude miserable weird old ***ker to me

You make us sound like that's a bad thing.
