bit of an odd position to hate the BBC and want to bring it down, whilst also eulogising "Global Britain". The BBC is one of our greatest exports, alot of it's programs are watched around the world, BBC World service is shown around the globe and really shows Britain in a great light. We should be proud

It’s not the funding model that is the issue, it’s the prosecution model that needs to be justified by the pro BBC loons. Prosecuting and criminalising the poor, and significantly poor women, is reprehensible.

To be fair I think the BBC know they are in a corner, I haven’t paid the fee for a number of years now and it appears they are quietly dropping prosecutions, so without fanfare we are moving to a de facto subscription model. As it should be…….those who support it can pay for it.

Of course, I cancelled my TV licence many years ago, what I do object to is if I watch live TV, that would be breaking the law. Make Auntie a subscription service and see how they get on. If one enjoys left wing, anti British propaganda and paying wingnut Lineker over a million quid a year then you are more than welcome to do so.
