If there are people such as yourself who really, really think the stock market and £ will rise on a Corbyn victory, then it worries me that he might actually get in.

You're right, traders aren't stupid. They'll be shorting the shit out of anything in the market with a UK taint....

Markets will quite rightly predict that even the most calamitously run economy inside the EU, will easily outperform the best run economy outside it.

And they won't naively believe the tabloids telling them that Johnson and Javid will be that good and that Corbyn and McDonnell will be that bad

I think someone mentioned it elsewhere, but in this particular instance many folks are voting with Brexit in mind (hence the amount of 'tactical' voting.

Point of order.

'ABTT' Tactical voting is absolutely not ONLY about Brexit.

There are plenty of other valid reasons people wish to prevent a Tory majority government.

I despise what the Tory party (particularly the ERG) have done to this country over the last few years and can't ever see me voting for them. I will be voting LD tactically in the very slim hope our incumbent safe-seat Tory can be booted out. If labour hadn't swung so hard to the left I would have voted for them.

Policies and manifestos are generally b0ll0x and ignored anyway.

Therefore, and I may be mistaken, some folks will only be interested in one element of the BP.

But why would they do that?! We've had a referendum, why are we having another one? Are these people anti-democracy?

Not really, they're voting in an election.

But you've literally just said they're going to treat it as a 2nd referendum, despite being completely opposed to the idea. How does that work?

Yes but in Kyle and Lucas you have two bad losers working their own agendas
Regards
DF

What specifically have either Peter Kyle or Caroline Lucas done, that you feel was serving 'their own agendas' rather than acting in line with the interests and wishes of the majority of their constituents?

I am 57 and have always voted Labour, this time may be different for two reasons, not a fan of Corbyn, my vote needs to support remain.

My tactical vote is indeed to try and prevent a Tory government. In this political system we have little choice sometimes.

My vote is not based around BREXIT.

For Tories that liked Cameron's type of Conservatism, the Lib Dems offer a closer match than the now defunct Conservative and Unionist party...

Policies are barely relevant for a huge swathe of voters, sadly. They'll follow the flag blindly, and tick the blue box, regardless.

The Tory and Labour party could literally swap manifestos, and a massive number of their voters would loyally tick the box for 'their' party.
