How can it be idiotic to state a preference?
IMHO Definitely Maybe is the better Album as it is the one i enjoyed more. Digsys Diner, Married With Children and Supersonic are much better songs than Don't Look Back In Anger, Roll With It etc becasue they were written with a lot more innocence and only with that inoocence is really great music written.

they r both quality, but def maybe pips whats the story to the post, live forever - quite possibly the best song when played live (acoustic)!

definately maybe and by a long way. what's the story has the classics but maybe because i've just heard it so many times i've got bored of it and now think that definately maybe is their best.
as for standing on the sholder i think that it's also one of the best despite what many critics have said about it. absolutely amazing album even though there are 'not-so-good' tracks like 'little james' which everyone is convinced is a load of wank!
