Nonsense. They just have a profile that means if they are caught transgressing, then it makes the news.

Blue shifted what an earth are you playing at? The 'voice of reason ' will soon tell you that you are talking 'nonsense' but he's not bullying you it's merely his opinion.

I fully support Deeney in this. I bet he will not be the only one. I doubt if clubs will want to seen to force them. That goes also for a lot of parents who don't want to send their kids back to school yet.

Correct as it's a chat forum where you can post things regardless of what you do for a living. If you don't like it do what a couple of the luminaries on here have done and put me on the 'ignore list'.

I'm sorry that I'm not posting links to Guardian and Independent articles (have read some good articles in the Guardian last few days, don't read the Independent) and saying I vote Labour, hate the 'evil Tories' and believe women's football is 'on the rise and hugely entertaining'. We all have different opinions and it doesn't make me a 'moron' and various other insults that have been directed at me (as I said couldn't care less) but find it strange that the oh so tolerant left resort to name calling and become patronising if you dare to disagree with them.

Deeney has said he doesnt care if he isnt paid. By the averages a player or one of their family will die from this comeback. When that happens I would like to think some of the media will have a big humble cake to eat hah who am I kidding! Many key workers are already taking much more of a risk and wont be tested every time they and their co workers go into work but then they arent millionaires. He could decamp to a hotel or rented accom but then he wont be able to hold his son again until a vaccine is found.

The turncoat media would then direct their fire at the clubs, and quietly bury their relentless narrative for football restarting asap.

Absolutely deafening silence to:

Why is my height and occupation 'pure gold' to you? Is it acceptable to laugh at someone who is not very tall? I bet you are a great advocate of 'mental health awareness week' and yet you find it 'gold' that I'm way below average height? Don't you see that mocking me for it could lead me to have mental health issues? Why is my occupation 'gold' to you? Looking down your nose at me as I don't have a well paid occupation? I thought you as a Socialist would sympathise with the 'low waged' but clearly not.

The 5’2” traffic warden ruse was rather funny and clever; quit while you’re ahead?

Troy Deeney is a hard footballer but he's doing completely the right thing if his little boy has a serious health condition. Of course, he's paramount to Watford's hopes of staying up but why risk any harm at the moment - until a vaccine can be found or the virus has almost disappeared almost entirely.

If he is constantly being exposed to people while playing football he cant then return to his family and vulnerable son until he is certain it is safe...vaccine is the only way of guaranteeing that.

You mean even if he’s tested to be clear he can’t go back.....sorry can’t quite work that one out..no vaccine is 100% safe ...I’m also not arguing against Deeneys stance

Failed yet again to address any of the points I made. So in mental health awareness week (or indeed any week) you think it's acceptable to mock someone because of their occupation and height?

Is that all you've got? How about tearing my post to pieces? Chuck in an insult for good measure.

How about we discuss the very serious issue of PL football returning safely in the coronvirus environment and Deeney's stance on it, rather than yet more of your needy bollocks (although you won't be able to as your posting rights are removed from this thread given your continued trolling). I'd stick to the subject on other threads as well if I were you.

Reports this morning saying some other Watford players have failed to show up for training....................sharing Deeney's concerns, or possibly in support of their skipper (or both).

Schoolteachers aren't going to be forced back into the classrooms until they feel it is a safe environment. So why should the greed of clubs and the EPL force footballers back to work unless they too have a safe environment at which to work.

I have now had to reassess my opinions on two players as a result of coronavirus: Kane and Deeney!

Deeney must do whatever he considers best protects him and his family. And I would support any other players who adopted a similar approach.
