Yes in normal circumstances it's a decent point, but it's not enough if we want to finish in the top two. Top two is a long shot, but it's what we want, so dropping points is disappointing.

We needed 13 points from Leeds, Preston, Massive, Reading and MKD.
Stiil possible, but 3 wins now required.
After Easter --->>>
Burnley - must win.
Birmingham and Forest away - 4 points.
3 games vs London - 9 points.
Derby and Middlesbrough - 1 win needed.
= 92 points, promotion.

Preston are set up not to lose they have a watertight defence, look how many 0-0 they have had.
But they are exceptionally boring to watch.

Yep decent point at Preston yesterday, none of the top four have won up there yet this season.
But to make that point acceptable we now must win the remaining three games this month if we are to mount a proper challenge in April. That's the next two which are at home to S/W & Reading which we are more than capable of winning. Then let's get the 5,000 of us fans up to MK Dons all dressed in bright yellow, raise the roof of their stadium & pick up our third win in a row.
Should we fail to get nine points from those three games then I personally feel one of the two automatic promotion places may well be beyond us sadly.
We will then be ready to face an in form Burnley which we can't get away from the fact that it will be very difficult to beat them.
They will look to come to the Amex & try to nick the first goal, then sit back & defend strongly which they do so well & have done all season. We also in recent years don't have a very good record against them at the Amex, & we will have to be at our sparkling best to beat them. But if we can beat them & make it four wins then the world could be our oyster as far as the possibility of promotion is concern.

I agree he must surely be a much better impact player from the bench when we need to win tight games than an unproven Skalak.
Lua Lua has always been the best Impact player in the whole squad, he can always change a game in a second.

S**t away point; if we can't beat Preston, we aren't good enough to finish top 2. Yesterday was massively important and I feel we've less than elegantly bowed out of the race for the autos. I've been positive all season but with realism slowly creeping in, feel we aren't consistent enough in front of goal to go up this season. If we lose to tinpot Wednesday mid week, the dream is well and truly over.
Reckon we need maybe 9-10 wins, not going to happen
My immediate concern then will be avoiding one of Hull, Middlesborough or Burnley in the playoffs, meaning we need to finish forth, no way on earth would we get a result against any of those three over 2 legs. Then prey for a lucky pen and sending off in the final and hope Hemed doesn't choke.

Have been saying for ages, that I think this will be our best season in the Championship to date.
Believe we will end up 4th probably, 3rd maybe & actually win our two leg games, for a day out at Wembley - when we will regrettably lose.
Hope I am wrong (of course), but we are not quite consistent to get into the top 2, especially away from home. Wish the manager was a tad more attacking away. If & it is a massive if, we get 3 wins from Massive, Reading & MK Dons I will start to believe. Heart says we will beat SW. Head says draw. They need a point from Tuesday to stay in playoff contention.
Our run in is tough as well. Still all to play for & a massive improvement from the last campaign. Let's hope the crowd is decent on Tuesday night to roar on the boys.

They would have been "up" for yesterdays game - a South Yorkshire derby against a team managed by a "Blade", in front of nearly 29,000.
Didn't get a result though.

I'd hardly count that result as a barometer of failure.
Boro only drew against Preston away too. And Hull and Burnley both got a beating from PNE, one of them on their own patch to boot. And one of the three at the very least is almost certain to go up through the autos.
