CCCS

They are a charity that was set up to help people in debt, if you are heavily
in debt they will tell you what your best option is, if an IVA is your best option or debt management plan then they would only take out their expenses.

If you are are still wary then go to the forums on money saving expert you can get just about any advice you want of there.

These people (CCCS) are absolutely superb.

They will arrange a telephone interview and will go through income & expenditure in detail and will come up with an overall figure that you can offer your creditors.

They will then go and negotiate on your behalf and once the payment schedule is agreed, you send the money to the CCCS each month and they divvy it up for you.

They are friendly people and very sympathetic on the phone. They don't charge fees.

If you've got a problem, call them.

My Mrs is a Bank Manager and genuinely tries to help people who have debt problems. The sad thing is she helps them and they pop back a couple of months latter f***ed again

Full credit to your wife but she must be the exception to the rule and obviously does not work for HBOS who were voted on a recent BBC Watchdog program, by the viewers, the most unhelpful bank in the country.

No she works for Llyods tsb. She has a big social conscience so she may be the exception to the rule. If anyone needs advice she will give it but its a long way to drive.

Consolidation loans will just keep you in debts lonmger and you'll end up paying more interest back than if you agreed a simple replayment plan with your creditors.

Try ti pay the debt back rather than taking out another loan

That must be something about Lloyds TSB as a couple of my customers in my old pub were female and managers for them so perhaps they tend to employ more female managers than most other companies. I know that sounds a little sexist but it appears to be the case.
