I think it is yes,if a club ever considers itself to be big. Attendance is EVERYTHING ( to me at least)
but we're not a big club

30k seats will not give you a 30k crowd. We are unlikely to ever have a '30k' crowd figure due to segregation etc. We'd need about 32k seats in the stadium to get beyond the high 20s.

Its going to be around 31k i thought, what are you worried about ?

Im sure thats what the guy said on the stadium tour last week.

Dear Tony,

Please challenge CPFC2010 to a game of poker, winner takes all, then tear down Selhurst and build an Aldi/Lidl there.

All the best.

In terms of percentage capacity, having a proper season ticket trading scheme should drastically reduce the number of empty seats. I think with that, better transport and a full away capacity, 30,000 of 30,750 should be regularly achievable.

The ticket trading system will only work for those that want to use it. It seems to me that there are only a few of those and most 'no shows' are 1901s who really couldn't care.

We'll get 30,750 every week if we calculate the crowd the Arsenal way :D

Personally, I think we'll be very lucky if we ever exceed 30k. There will always be some lost to segregation (say 250) and club promo/gift/school tickets that never take all their allocation (say another 250) leaving 250 that will easily be lost through no-shows (regardless of any ticket exchange as there will always be people who are sick/break-down/working-late/family-emergency/etc....)

c29,000 would be the best we'll get. It "might" all come together in one match that we exceed the 30k but unlikely and once in a blue moon if/when it does.

Remember we never hit 30,000 in the old Division One days.

Not officially anyway! I'm convinced there were over 30,000 for the Arsenal game. The club blamed the under capacity crowd on "turnstile failure".

Didn't someone on here a while back say that the seats can be moved closer together to squeeze thousands more into the Amex?

Dear Tony

Please make it so the early leaver STHs have to swipe out.

Then deduct them loyalty points

Just suppose then .....

STH travels down from North Yorkshire for each and every Saturday match, but without booking 2 days off work, he will miss a few midweeks. Even on a Saturday, to get back up through London and onto his last connecting train home he has to leave early to ensure that he is not sleeping on the platform at Euston.

Despite ALL of that committment, you want to DEDUCT him loyalty points? He pays the same as you (far MORE with travel) despite knowing he will get to see less football for his money than you. Would that person be more or less loyal?

Sweeping statements are dangerous Tom, you don't know the story behind peoples actions.

If he was really committed, he would watch CMS come off last, and sleep on Euston platform.

Of course, but does that actually warrant him LOSING loyalty points compared to a Lewes resident who is safety tucked up in his armchair by 6pm?

Think you're taking THPP's suggestion a bit too seriously.

It made me LOL.

I'm not picking on him, as I'm sure he realises. It's a more general swipe at the flippant dismissive attitute that NSC in general seems to have about those who are not in their seats at the final whistle.

We'll only deduct half as many loyalty points if they live past South Yorkshire, deal?
