I came up with the players and we have signed them,” White said. “To me that is a real positive. We had to do something.

“I’ve got enough knowledge to know the sort of players we want, the level that we are at and what’s needed.

“We’ve brought the players in I wanted. I don’t know anything other than that. What I will say is I am enjoying doing the job and the responsibility. I don’t mind the buck stopping with me.

“I am really positive with the players brought in and the injured ones coming back that Brighton will be a force.

“I wouldn’t be telling the truth if I said I wasn’t worried about my own situation. It’s something I have to deal with and put to the back of my mind.

“I feel as though I have done a good job since I’ve been here.

“I’ve had offers to go to other clubs, higher than this club, during that time and I’ve never taken them. Whether or not I should have I don’t know.

Probably offered coaching jobs at Leicester & Coventry by Micky Adams.

Well despite all of the criticism I think he does appear to be doing a good job, as a coach and in terms of signing good players.

The 'experts' who are crucifying him know the square root of f*** all about his abilities.

White, I think, has emerged very well out of this. He has maintained his dignity, brought in quality signings and done his very best in difficult circumstances, so credit to him for that. People should get off his back and give him a break.

I am happy to eat a slice of humble pie.
I still don't think we have the back-room of qualified and able coaches that we need to take us forward but Dean has done ok in the last two weeks and conducted himself in an exemplary fashion. All credit to him

"Higher than this club". Maybe he means further North. Horsham?

Despite what some think he has good contacts in the game from his days at Millwall, Gillingham and Chelsea

Ditto those who are supporting him.

I think some feel that the abuse he has received is disproportionate. It's not the same as supporting him.

Well done Dean definately deserves a new contract in my book. What about Booker? White has been here so long now but Booker is a sign of the Micky Adams mess and im surprised he wasnt got rid of too
