Went to Southampton and celebrated a goal against us at the Withers.

Nothing about going to Soton and more about how he celebrated the goal

Haven't posted for a long time, but had to come back for this. Incredibly funny given how much you guys hate him.
Shame he hasn't gone to a club where he'll be appreciated, but oh well. Good luck to him, and you.

Not all of us hate him pal... just the usual NSC suspects that have their heads firmly entrenched up their own arses.

He does come across well on the Withdean Years DVD I'm happy that he's back not a signing I was expecting but strong midfielder nonetheless. En route home but when I get in I'll be watching Seagulls player and if he's as happy to be back as reported I'll cheer him :)

Player celebrates goal for current club - what a shocker. Any chance you lot were giving him grief and therefore encouraged aforementioned celebration?

My my, what a precious bunch you are :glare:

How very f***ing dare him!

It wasn't just a celebration was it? The f***ing prick ran the length of the South Stand goading our entire set of supporters. He hadn't even been given any grief before that. The bloke is the last exAlbion player I would have ever wanted to play for us again.

I love the way people are taking this so personally! Football is theatre, and more often than not, pantomime. A lot lot are happy to dish the dirt to players all day long yet are totally unable to accept anything back.

Yes it was a bad mistake by Hammond that night but it's interesting that he appeared on the Withdean Years DVD - it shows he clearly holds the club with affection.

Only you can choose to be offended or not. I'm sure he will feel uncomfortable about what happened so perhaps an opportunity for some to forgive him and move on.

Whilst I agree with your main point (football being theatre and supporters getting prissy when they get a bit back), Hammond got a VERY good reception.

If he has as much affection for the club as you suggest, why did he behave like such a c*nt?

Good signing. Might have been a twat once to his home town fans but I've been a twat to my family a couple of times and you forgive each other. Especially when 99.9999999999999% of the time you're a decent bloke doing a good job and try your best. Will apologise, work hard, and deserves respect every time he pulls on our shirt (maybe a few murmorings the first time he warms up but clapped when he actually takes the field).

I am going to love it when he scores for us in a 1-0 win in front of 26,000 at the Amex and see you fuckwits boo him or just stay silent.

I guess it was the heat of the moment. I can't remember him getting a great reception but you may be right. He did behave like a c*nt but so have I in the past and I wouldn't expect it to be brought back up years later! Time to move on. Really feel he will give his all for the club and that is all we can ask.

Fug me, I go out for the evening, come back and find we've re-signed Dean Hammond!!!! Possibly the most unlikely BHA transfer in the history of the club outside of Bobby Zamora returning to the Albion. Not at all sure how I feel about it.
