Yep, Le Tis had a chance to play for the club he supported (Spurs) but couldn't leave the Saints fans because of how well they treated him.

Granted, Le Tissier is slightly different than Hammond but the principle is the same

i agree. Their brand new stadium only holds 10,000, so one can only assume their fan base isn't huge.
However, they obviously have more money!!!!

Come on deano make a decision one way or the other.
I'd love him to stay, sign a deal, and have a last minute revelation that he wants to stay with the club that has brought him through the ranks. I wonder with the murray signing whether we are banking on Hammond leaving? We've shown some ambition but I don't think it will be enough. He could end up in a relegation dog-fight.... (if he goes that is )

Again, like Southend, Colchester are not a bigger club than the albion...
