he f***ed up big time, he should of said No Deal to 75K. If he had that feeling there was 250,000 in that box then he should of gone with his gut feeling.

But is not just about him you goon. He has got a young family to think of and £75k is a lot of money especially when you have a family. He did exactly the right thing and only a complete moron would have gambled on that big a prize.
At the end of the day, if he was a gambler he would still have taken the money and bought £75k worth of lottery tickets as it that would give him more of a chance of decent money and would almost certainly give him more than a £1 if he did not win a big prize.

I just find it very convenient that that guy, Germaine, has been one of the most high profile contestants and the banker even apparently said he was a credit to the show and a good friend to the others, was the first to have £250,000 in his box.

Others have had £250,000 in their box when they have been in the hot seat too.

But you cant chance losing £74,999 over a feeling, especially if you had a young family.

And it's should HAVE.

Exciting game, and he played it right by taking the £75k. Remember it's tax free, so if he earns £20k a year that's 5 years wages! Much safer that, then walking out with £1.

thats the way to look at it...

There was an article in the Observer the other week about Edmonds and it said he records three shows a day, five days a week for three weeks and then has a week off. If you'r epopular they seem to keep you on there for longer so you could be looking at needing at least two weeks off work.

£250,000 for two weeks holiday seems a good deal - 1p for two weeks holiday, maybe not.

Sorry, I meant to say he was the first to have a 50/50 choice of £250,000*.

*This is what NE said. I don't know how factually accurate that is.

I'd have gambled. The banker deserved to lose only offering 75.

Oooooooooh hark at Miss Pedant, aka Miss Pot-Kettle-Black.

1. It is can't.

2. He has a young family. No need for past tense.

Fair dos on the first.

2. It's a conditional - eg: If you had a drink.
