"I'd rather listen to a podcast of El Presidente reading Dougie's entire list of NSC posts on loop."

Jeez - it's not that bad Simster! ;)

What a lovely girl, Katie, was today. 🥰

She never stopped smiling and I was gutted she only won £5. I was begging her to deal at £7,500 with only the £25k to fall back on with two low blues left but she showed courage to go on until the end.

I like the presenter who is humble and sincere with a dry sense of humour. Noel Edmonds was good but he was marmite to the contestants I always thought - he either loved them or patronised them.

The only gameshow host more dreary than Ben Shepperd is that absolute dullard who hosts "Impossible", Rick Edwards where do they get these people from? These two are literally the most boring people on telly, and they get to host gameshows. It's mental. I'd rather listen to a podcast of El Presidente reading Dougie's entire list of NSC posts on loop.

As for Deal or No Deal - it's absolute wank. It was wank when Edmunds hosted it, and it's wank now. Wank wank wank.
He looks like a porn star (not that I watch porn deliberately).

I see your Rick Edwards and raise you a Fearne Cotton. Possibly the dullest person ever to grace TV and radio.
Listened to a podcast with her the other week and she clearly went through a lot of struggles while she was on both forms of media. Hence why she isn't on either form of media anymore. I didn't mind her on R1 – as a non-radio person thrust into that world, I think she did OK.

As for some of the descriptive comments above that relate to Edwards, Davis, Shepherd and Burden – take a bow! Had me literally LOLing in the office.

I dunno. I’ve had my head down the bog most of today after proving to my wife that it’s perfectly safe to eat week long out of date eggs, and it’s been a nice, steady watch as my immune system grapples with the salmonella.

Mulhern’s been alright for me. Certainly better than the decision making of tonight’s contestant, turning down £7,500 with only a £25k, £50 and a fiver left on the table. A very poor understanding of odds on display there. Walked away with the fiver.
Good God man, just use the cold water freshness method like everyone else! :shit:

"Skill" and "Tipping Point" in the same sentence? Randomly pushing a button to drop a token randomly into a machine and pot luck where the token falls and what impact that token has on other tokens. Where's the skill in that?

Glad to see the back of the talentless Ben Shepperd who always refered to the machine as a female as in "she is being very difficult today". It's a mechanical contraption Shepperd you dunce. It doesn't have a sex (leave that to the French) and it doesn't have a personality.

You have to actually answer general knowledge questions, that requires skill........... not just point to a box and say 'open' and talk about your family and job for most of the show. Though the amount of people that press the button at the wrong time and end up with 'riders' is mind boggling.

I just realised on Family Fortunes with Stephen Mulhern they waffle on for the first 20mins of the show before they finally get going, the guy just really gets on my nerves tbh

Would rather watch Tipping Point if I had to watch one.

Mulhern is a light entertainment genius, equally loved by young and old alike. He's the natural heir to Ant & Dec's crown.

The game is as boring as it gets!

99% of it is waffle about family, friends, job, tactics (there are none), shite jokes and about 1% of the game is actually opening the boxes.

I used to think Tipping Point was boring but at least there was actual skill involved.
This.

Tipping point is shocking…

But Deal or no deal, should be nowhere near TV……. Complete crap.

The skill in Tipping Point is the timing of the drops - it's not random.

Ben Sheppard always made me cringe, the way he manhandled all the contestants at the end. If I was on it I'd give him a slap.

Deal Or No Deal is for contestants who are short of a few bob, so get greedy. It's quite sad really seeing them have so much within their grasp but fail. It shouldn't be allowed really.

I think the Germans call it Shardenfreud or something I.e taking pleasure out of s omeone's misfortune. Not great.

Whoever worked out deal or no deal the odds clearly aren’t in the players favour a lady the other day took £4k much to the disappointment of the presenter who then started the mental torture of if only you had played on. Although the outcome in a relaxed atmosphere would be different to a pressured atmosphere.
The presenters always fall back to well this happened yesterday to try to influence a player. That is like saying well yesterday number 11 came out five times on a roulette wheel 🙄

Absolute crock of shite. I never watched the Noel Edmonds version and have watched one episode and caught the tail end of this one a few times as I waited for the best TV game, The Chase, to start. The phone calls to the banker wind me up, is there even someone on the other end of the phone?
