Errrr...that is EXACTLY what you said:-

Arguably our best 2 players in the last 2 games have been Barco (Wolves) and Baleba (Fulham)

And RDZ said the following on both:

Barco - “No, he's not ready, we knew before the transfer market opened that one player from another country, it's very tough for him.”

Baleba - “Baleba is not ready yet to play at this level but he has incredible potential”

Klopp on throwing his youngsters in at the deep end:

“The story of Sunday was one of the best football stories ever. There is absolutely no pressure on these boys, they just have to enjoy what they're doing”

My point being, if I’m a youngster and I’m hearing what Klopp is saying then that’s giving me all the confidence and freedom to express myself. I just wish RDZ would have the same positive outlook!

Think you’ve missed my point. Not once have I said he ‘doesn’t trust the youngsters’

My point being the negativity around WHY we are in a situation where we are having to put our trust in them.

Klopps very much used it as a positive and supported them 100%, RDZ has used every opportunity to use it as an excuse to criticise the clubs recruitment policy in January.
When did he criticize the club’s recruitment policy in January ? I must have missed that.

Its easy to be full of the milk of human kindness after you have won yet another match and you're top of the league. ???

But RDZ has been playing youngsters since he arrived. If he doesn’t think those two are quite ready, well, he is paid to make those calls.

No Pedro

We can't compare ourselves with Liverpol and Newcastle are out of Europe.

I have no problem with rotation - apart from the goalkeeper I'm afraid.
Of course you can, the same rules apply to all teams….

Liverpool, Sheff Utd and any others cannot name more than anyone else, it then boils down to youth talent and what you do with what you have, and other senior players…

There have been too many changes IMO.

Yes. I haven’t seen one quote from RDZ where he criticizes the club’s recruitment policy in January.
Maybe we are all misreading his comments and he’s delighted with the business we didn’t do then.

Despite his following comments:

“We deserved to lose...I understood the problem in January!"

“I am starting to explain the future in September, in October, in November, in January – especially in January.

You seem to be implying RDZ does not back these players based on quotes but who do you think allowed them to be the best players in the last two games?

That isn’t criticism of the club’s transfer policy. I’m afraid this entire thread has been fed by fans who are critical of the club’s transfer policy and who are interpreting RDZ’s words to match their own view.

Wouldn't be the first time the fans misunderstood a manager.

He could simply mean "I don't want to sound like I'm making excuses just because we lost today. I've mentioned in the past (i.e. when results were going well) that we needed further recruitments. But I understand the constraints the club are under, and I appreciate that, for example, Leicester aren't obliged to sell, just because we make an offer and sometimes the deal just isn't there to be done"

People are choosing to extrapolate from limited comments from a man speaking english as a third or fourth language.

For what it's worth, my gripe about the January window, is that we signed two promising youngsters, one played for Argentina to qualify for the Olympics, the other, the Ghanain winger (who's name I can't remember!) we loaned back to his current club, with what happened to Mitoma, what an addition he would have been !

Can’t argue that and hope you’re right.

I’m a massive fan of RDZ and I want him here long term, but he has to be aligned with the clubs long term vision.

Like you say, he might be and I might be pissing in the wind, but something just doesn’t seem right at the moment.

Understanding the problem, which isn't a Brighton specific problem - you just have to look at the amount of business not done in January across the board to understand why, is a totally different thing to accepting the Club's Strategy, which no doubt he did when he joined and just maybe still does now?

Yes we have injuries so do other clubs the drop off shouldn’t be this dramatic. Saturday there was a clear lack of desIre to win the game we were as soft as shit it was Fulham not Man City and we didn’t give them a game.
To see our CB’s get bullied like that was disgraceful.
Injuries like I don’t know - Newcastle who have fallen off as well?

well seeing as how he doesn’t official sign until the summer window I’m not sure your point stands

FFP and P&S restricted the vast majority of clubs.

But not us. Hence the Dewsbury-Hall move.

Which in turn makes it a Sellers Market - to buy somebody, the other club (and the player) have to be willing to sell at a price that is in line with our strategy. As PB has said many times, it's not an easy process (unless you are dealing with Chelsea) TB has been anti doing business in January and there is a piece quoting that our FFP position puts us in an advantageous position for this Summer - I'm sure that was the plan all along rather than knee jerking in Jan.
