An expensive come and get me if his release clause is in the millions.

Unless he's sacked, of course
My facetious posts are wasted on you it seems.

i dont know what the issues are but the team clearly doesnt click as well as it did before. blaming transfers cant be it when we still have 70-odd possession and cant score, with the same forwards and tactics. maybe that's the problem, too predictable and easy for the opposition to counter.
Problem is we lost the best midfield duo in the premier over the summer plus Mwepu , and none of them have been replaced,
the midfield is the heartbeat of the team , take them away and you get performances like the last couple of matches

In reality we can't play his system without March and Mitoma. He wasn't backed and now we can't score. Such a shit way for it to go south but to be expected with a fiery manager and a board who always think they know best.

Expect another dullard like Potter back next
I’m certainly still pro RDZ but a manager has to get a good tune out of the players he has. And RDZ still has very good players to get a tune out of. A good first step would be to get the team to be capable of defending and not giving away horrendous goals every single game.

Another way of looking at it was that WBG came through to replace one of those players, we already had Gross and Baleba was brought in as a promising youngster, and Milner in as a steady old head, with Dahoud a key addition and with Moder on his way back.

You literally can't like for like replace 200m quids worth of self made superstar without spending 200m on someone else's self made superstars. Which would be insane.. so the result always had to be something else. That something else got us to 7th, through the europa league and still in the FA Cup by the end of Feb.

Now it's not good enough.

I’m not having Fati is a RDZ singing. He helped convince him to come but there is zero evidence that he was his player. Also, are we actually talking about the Fati whose performances are a big reason we have performed well in Europe? Before his last injury he was looking class.

I think this shows De Zerbi's limits as a manager. He knows how to get good football and good results from a deep quality squad he can rotate. He lacks the ability to rotate and get good results from a squad with limited or changing depth. His solution is more players and not finding a tactic to compensate.

I think dealing with a limited squad was much more of a strength of Potter to be honest. A mix of the two would be perfect.

I'm sure there's a lot of managers, some who've had way more actual success than RDZ, who'll be looking at our club, the set up, our board and our players (even with the injuries) thinking 'i'd have some of that'.
I love RDZ but diplomacy definitely isn't one of his strong points.

I'll definitely be getting both mullered and Messy in Rome.

All of that, plus we're (obviously) missing Caicedo and AliMac and are therefore far weaker when we're counter-attacked, which let's face it happens a lot.
And... maybe we miss Pedro even more than Mitoma 🤔.

He’s clearly not been backed. That’s the source of his frustration. It’s not come out of the blue.
As said above though he didn’t sing the contract offer so hardly surprising TB didn’t give him big signings. Suspect TB keeping his gunpowder dry for a serious strengthen in the summer, potentially with an RDZ upgrade.

Does anyone know how long RDZ has left on his contract?

He does obviously think that. The broader question is - is it actually, within reason, true?

Everyone can come up with their own conclusion really can't they, but there is no dictionary definition of being backed.

Although a synonym might be 'sounds better than it being my fault, for future propserity'
