I have been saying for weeks that he made it very clear earlier in the window that he wanted new players and that hasn’t happened.

All the usual suspects immediately pile on and give it the usual passionate defence of Tony. RDZ looks utterly hacked off, he’s now come out and said he wants players, if it doesn’t happen we will risk losing him to clubs who will promise to back him in the market.

Worrying interview after the game. Told chairman we need players and he’s waiting basically.
What did he say?

Bit surprised if he’s criticising the clubs recruitment based on this window? If he’s not supported in the summer then there is some justification.

Just listened, don’t see the issue.

I’m sure every PL manager has told the chairman what players they would like, RDZ has clearly said he’s the coach not the chairman.

But he’s identified gaps and asked for them to be filled. Not sure why you are surprised, he’s a top coach who hasn’t signed a single player since taking the role.

“I’m lucky to be a coach of this team. We have a lot of good player, a lot of smart player.”

Top 6 in the PL, 5th round of the FA Cup.

January is notorious as a difficult window to recruit, I’m pretty confident RDZ said only a few days ago he was happy with the squad?

Surely the summer is the time to recruit and strengthen in areas RDZ sees fit.

I think he knows we are way off the heights of the Liverpool game previously and he knows that is largely down to Colwill and Caicedo. We are nowhere near that level. We weren't against Leicester either. It must t be frustrating for him. Obviously there's nothing he can do to stop a player getting Injured and another wanting out but he would've made it very clear that we are lacking in certain positions and is bound to be frustrated that all we hear about is players leaving.
He does seem a bit glum.

We have lost Mwepu and Trossard since he took over without replacements. Certainly makes his job more difficult. Pull your finger out Tony/Paul.
Yet he wants a centre back 🤷🏻‍♂️

Trust the club, if they can get deals done to improve I’m sure they will, but rather we got the right players in

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Clubs that panic buy in January pay way over the odds.

As stated earlier, 2 days ago he said that if the squad stayed the same at the end of the window he would be happy.
Fine, but today he very clearly didn’t say that did he. So something has happened that means he now doesn’t feel that way. I didn’t say it, he very clearly did, he wants players, he wants backed.

Had wondered whether the Webster substitution at half time was a message, no?

Haven’t seen anything about an injury

T`his

THere's enough parasites causing disturbance without NSCers and half arsed part time journo's stirring shit that's not there.

RDZ's English has improved immeasurable in just a few months, but he's currently about as articulate as the average Englishman so its easy to bend his words to suit your own narrative.

I’d hope he wasn’t using an important FA Cup game against Liverpool to ‘make a point’ !
