Sorry if it's somewhere else but couldn't find it. Happy for this to be stuck somewhere else if its covered.

I largely zone out of press conferences as they're all much of a muchness. I found the city one heart meltingly brilliant for lots of reasons and have completely readjusted thoughts on who's coming or going. What a fùcking dude this guy is though.

He’s driving the whole club to new levels - TB and PB included. Incredible guy.

His press conferences are a must watch, refreshing.

That wry smile and head shake, Sanchez is history here isn’t he?

Loved that presser. As others have said, he’s so open…it’s a v refreshing change from the anodyne guff of so many or the semi-hostile of some.

I so hope we play Atalanta now because that will be one fun cauldron!!!

I have a massive man-crush on RDZ and it’s not much of a surprise that he is seemingly revered by the players (apart from Big Bob to whom I say “adios”).

I feel that RDZ coming to Brighton is the perfect match.
There are lots of teams he could have gone to, and lots of managers we could have hired, but somehow us coming together feels like the ideal fit.

Bath, Somerset.
I find myself wondering if he is sharing the official line or if he is just sharing very openly?

These feel very different to the ones from some managers we've had (sucks teeth).
They were what they were

Completely agree - there was no point wasting the time watching/listening to previous press conferences as it was just beige cliche after cliche. Once you'd heard one, you'd heard them all.

RDZ's are completely different. He's a loose cannon, but in a good way - he has no interest in avoiding answering a question or swerving the difficult topics. He takes them all on, head on, and says what he feels needs to be said.

I love that he was/is a fan of a "smaller" club in Italy. Most high profile managers/players will have moved on from the team they supported as a kid, but he clearly still has that passion for Brescia (and hatred for Atalanta). He really gets what it means to be a fan of a club like ours.

There was a quote last week where he said to the players that achieving Europe for Brighton is a bigger deal than winning a title with a big team, and he's spot on.

It gives me hope that he'll want to stick around for some time, and maybe even convince some of our key players to do the same.

Wow this sounds like a proper rivalry, like a real war based on hundreds of years of hate !! Classic Italian shizzle.

And de zerbis demeanour makes a bit more sense when you watch the Brescia manager run down the touchline and square up to the Atalanta fans. Classic.

Interesting that Brescia had Roberto baggio , hagi etc back in the day so must have had some money behind them. So perhaps de zerbi was a bit of a glory hunter.🙂

Threads like this will always remind me of that GPott-loving pizza box-botherer from Sweden, who ALWAYS used to say press conferences were pointless and never miss an opportunity to slag off journalists.

RDZ is a breath of fresh air in many respects, including how he conducts himself with the press. Honest, funny and basically says it how it is...

Certainly gives food for thought regarding Mac and caicedo seemingly quite bullish that we can keep hold of them and if we can I’d quite fancy us for top 4 next season
I'm sure there's more chance of them going than staying but I can't help feeling that immediate ' are you sure?" Is a direct call to them to consider their future. As is the 'I'm not shy to set high targets' chat.

Also 'Hope to work with him next season' about Colwill means he must know he's considering it.

And really loved the conversation with Pascal after Palace. 'Why are you sad about not winning one game? What is it we're all doing here?' Watershed moment.
