He gave the ball away as often as anyone - as bad as Undav in that regard. Absolutely shocking performance from him (and about 4 others).Playing Welbeck in the Attacking midfield role does t work either as passing is probably his weakest attribute.
Yes, though to be fair he’s got most things right so far…..Very surprised he went Undav rather than Gilmour and Buannotte rather than either March or Enciso. Odd call.
Always easy to say in hindsightI still think he should not have dropped Enciso and Gilmour. They have been playing well, not too many minutes ether so were fresh enough, and should have started.

What do I know? It’s all about opinions, I would have liked us to have been a bit less gung ho and a bit more patient. I don’t like the conservative (or big ’C’) approach but we‘ve all seen the Dyche game enough times to know not to set out like we did today.

Yes. We always are. But we usually get away with it.Were we gung ho?
Wouldn’t have started Undav or Buannonotte. Or maybe Welbeck. Some or all of Enciso, March, Ferguson, and Gilmour should have been involved from the start. & it was pretty obvious how Everton would set up… crowd the midfield, low block when needing to defend, and lots of counter attacking football. So for that reason I would have made it clear to the players that there will be times when we need to mix it up. Go long sometimes, put crosses in, play to the wingers. & not just rely on our quick passing through the midfield as that will be difficult to do & they’ll be ready to pounce on. But hey, hindsight is a wonderful thing.
Well I thought so. But on reflection I guess that’s not an entirely acceptable thing to say, so I would like to amend it to ‘unnecessarily and perilously adventurous’.Were we gung ho?

He actually played that role fantastically v Wolves but they were clearly on the beach and he really should be leading the line. Their centre backs will never have an easier afternoon than they had in that first half today.Playing Welbeck in the Attacking midfield role does t work either as passing is probably his weakest attribute.
Agree, but the ref was okay tonight,.It’s his first season in the PL and against Dyche.
Yes he got it wrong but made changes at half time so we improved.
It’s football, it happens when relegation teams are fighting and referees are useless.
Agreed, Welbeck was great in that position in that matchHe actually played that role fantastically v Wolves
Yep. Didn't fall for our trap once - just let us maraud up the pitch freely. We fell for it time and time again. A horrible watch8 upfield, sometimes including Estupinan and Webster!!
Leaving 60 yards for Everton to run into, from the kick off.
