I'm pleased he played well but it has no connection that he is suddenly going to be any different than the player we have seen in our first 3 games

How can there be no connection? It certainly doesn't guarantee us that he'll play well, but if he's been a player whose nervous or without confidence, this has to have helped, right?

I thought Propper was a midfielder, but he's just shown us (us being Brighton fans who don't know much about him yet) that he's also able to play up front. Stephens and Sidwell in the middle, Propper and Hemed up front, with our wingers down the, er, wing. Surely this gives you some hope Ernest?

This. One of the most "eye-opening" performances I can recall watching. We fans had NO idea that Propper could be so effective in an attacking role. The goals were good but my favourite bit was his backheel in the classy move that ended with Robben's finish.

From being probably "shit", he now looks definitely one of the best footballers to wear an Albion shirt in the past 30 years.

Interestingly Hans Kraay , now a top Dutch commentator, reckons that Hughton is playing him in his best position, and that's not where he played for the Dutch the other day

Wanted to stress the same point.

During his Dutch league winning season he played 33 league matches (according to transfermarkt) - 30 in a CM role (10 goals, 6 assists) and 3 matches as AM (1 assist); last season the numbers were: 34 league games, 29 as CM (5 goals, 7 assists), 4 as AM (1 assist) and one as RW (1 goal).

I do not think we could make an assumption from match against Bulgaria that coaches of PSV and Chris didn't know how to utilize him best. That said, I could see Pröpper and Groß trading places during matches (as well as Knockaert, March/Izquierdo).

Aside from his goals there's a lot of positives from Propper here. Nice touches and good movement especially.

It's only our div fans that right off players after three games, I could see glimpses of a good player in the Man City game (didn't get robbed like our other midfielder) he will be a great player for us.

If Gross was too gt injured then move Propper forward.
