Like Dicker early season it seems Slade will need to be left with no other options before he'll give Davies a chance. Can't understand it myself, apart from Forster our forwards have hardly been prolific. My abiding memory of Davies, in the few games I've seen him, is of a player who gets himself into position but struggles to hit the net. Having a forward who can actually get into a position to miss would be an improvement on players who seldom even get into goalscoring situations imo. Has to be worth a gamble, at least he wants to play for us.
Get him in the team Russell, at worst he'll let you down and not score which the other forwards are already doing ( Forster apart). But he just might be the man for the job alongside Forster

Ha ha and I bet Davies manages to miss the gym too!
Still though I'd like to see him given a fair chance. Davies to be honest has showed moments of magic in his little time with us along with a good touch, pace, strength and stinging shot. But unfortunately it seems all this comes to nothing when the one mental attribute Davies really lacks which is vital when it comes to hitting the net is simply composure. If he got a decent run in the first team this mental problem will have a better chance of getting nursed through confidence and enjoyment, something you tend to gain in football when on a good run and your playing games, something Davies has not been given. Stockport fans very much rated him whilst he was playing in a good team for them, maybe he'd work better with our more footballing style first 11 in comparison with last seasons lot? Davies has alot more to offer than what Height and Effort has put on the table for us so far.

Yeovil have hailed ”fantastic” striker Craig Davies as he nears the end of his loan spell from Albion.
But Glovers boss Terry Skiverton would not reveal whether he will attempt to extend the Welsh international’s stint in Somerset.
Davies kept young Spurs hotshot Jon Obika out of the matchday squad when Yeovil played Carlisle last Saturday and completes his month’s loan this weekend.
Skiverton said: “He has been fantastic for us and it is his last game for us on Saturday so we will just have to wait and see what happens after that.
“He is a good lad and I think maybe in the past he has been a little misunderstood.
“He has only been a joy so far to coach and to manage, and me and (assistant manager) Nathan Jones have had a really good experience with him.”
Seagulls boss Russell Slade is willing to discuss a loan extension for Davies at Huish Park.
Skiverton added: “Craig has put in some very good performances for Yeovil, especially at Millwall and Oldham.”
Albion will have a better idea today as to whether Nicky Forster, troubled by an Achilles problem, will be fit to face an Oldham side guilty of some spectacularly poor defending in last Saturday’s 3-1 reverse at home to Southampton.
The Seagulls’ under-18s will visit Barnet in the first round of the FA Youth Cup on Wednesday, November 4 (7pm).
That means the reserve game with Crawley, scheduled for the same evening, will now be re-arranged.
The youth team’s game with Gillingham on October 31 has also been called off due to the Kent club’s cup commitments.

This is a massive mistake by Slade, Hart or Davies? Always liked what I saw of CD but may be him and RS don't get on. Can't see him signing for Yeovil perm as we would want a fee.

Would prefer to see him stay on loan at Yeovil and us sign John Obika on loan from Spurs., at least he can score goals, unlike Davies.
yes davies is in brighton and isnt it funny that jim gannon said the same about davies as the yeovil manager has put in the paper. the reason davies isnt getting a game at brighton is adams brought him in and slade prefers dickinson fact.southend have come in to take him on loan and i hope he goes.
