I’m afraid, in the age of social media, every unrelated source can be connected and gossip thrives regardless. Plenty of celebs have been unfairly trashed in the court of public opinion. I wouldn’t get involved in the nudge nudge wink winking until someone’s lawfully convicted. Just speculation until then at best, idle and highly damaging gossip at worst.

Although I agree with the general sentiment I think the trouble with that is the justice system doesn't always deliver. Expensive lawyers and PR experts are very good at covering stuff up.

Has ever been thus. But innocent until proven guilty is the best we’ve come up with.

Back in the news, clearly like all of us he’s flawed and he‘s probably crossed the line on this occasion, but also remember with a couple of notable exceptions there’s good in everyone.

A few years ago when I was on the board of Trustees for Chestnut Tree House, the only children‘s hospice in Sussex, Walliams came to visit the Hospice in Arundel, had a tour, met some of the children who were delighted when he finished the visit by reading some of his children’s books to the sick youngsters.

At times during his visit he was visibly moved to tears.

Within 24 hours Chestnut received a significant anonymous five figure donation to the charity, rightly so we kindly accepted this generous act and have never investigated it further, but you don’t need to be Inspector Morse to work out what went on.

Yes Walliams is an acquired taste, yes he probably shouldn’t have done what he did, but underneath he’s not all bad.
I agree he shouldn't of said it, but as you say we've probably all done something similar at some point. These days you're judged on a single act and there's no balance on what the individual has done overall. How many, possibly, good politicians have we lost or never seen because they have a single blemish from years back. We should be very careful what we wish for.

Both hinted at have very good lawyers and PR’s in place. They jump on anything as soon as there is even an inkling of something bad emerging to either get it shut down completely or limited.

Is it just about Russel Brand and David Walliams., Wozza...?

Quite frankly I dislike them both and wont be surprised at any "revelations" about them .

On that basis, any allegations against James Corden or Tim Lovejoy. Please.
Being a comedian involves other people finding you funny, not you finding yourself absolutely hilarious like they both do.

But as Brand‘s anti establishment bandwagon gathers momentum on social media, could this be the ultimate smear campaign?

Careful naming anyone people.

Just as I am naming the utter #### who recently appeared on a prime UK show on the back of his fame in the 90s.

Always turned up hammered to the studio in worked in after spending the lunch in the pub. Always walking into reception with a beer in his hand, he was already on the way down then. Actually felt sorry for him because he was moved from young person adored terrestrial channel A-lister to little watched satellite channel gig in a few years,

Used to stand in the single doorway refusing to allow to runners like me to leave until he had finished his phone calls, often lasting an hour.

When he had finished he would theatrically move to one side and wave his hand to allow us to pass.

I'm so glad his career never resulted in the promise it once had. That said I get annoyed with his modern "working class" persona of standing up for the "little man" on social media.

Couldn't give a #### when had actually had a "career".

TWAT

If I ever get the chance to meet him again, I'm simply tell him. My wife has similar stories working in VIP areas of clubs in the 90s. I'm particular challenged about a particular "hero" of mine who was a well known completely wanker past. She experienced it and simply can't watch him.
