Been released by Huddersfield Town, would be a terrific signing in my opinion. Sweet left foot, great leader, composed, hard working and leads by example.

Go get him Russell!!

Would certainly be a worthwhile addition in our quest to field a half-century of players in one season.

He's one of those players who've reaped the benefit of playing the bulk of their professional career in the Prem, with a fancy pad oop North as featured on "Footballers' Cribs" with a cinema-sized screen above his indoor heated swimming pool, adjacent to his personal gym.

Why the f*** would he want to play in an athletics stadium for us now?

Unsworth released by Huddersfield
Unsworth has made just five appearances for Town this season
Huddersfield Town have released David Unsworth from his contact and told Chris Lucketti to look for a new club.

Centre-back Lucketti, 37, rejected a loan move to Brighton last week, while full-back Unsworth, 35, has not played for Town since October.

"Chris is not part of my long-term plans for this club," manager Lee Clark told BBC Radio Leeds.

"The club have come to a financial agreement with David to terminate his contract early, so he now leaves us."

The veteran defenders were brought to Huddersfield by former manager Stan Ternent but have failed to become regular first-team players since Clark took charge.

Clark has hinted that more could follow them out of the Galpharm Stadium

He [Chris] has an excellent attitude and is a great example to the younger players on how to look after yourself and carry on playing at an older age

Lee Clark
Clark added: "I've had a chat with Chris and we have an understanding that it's best for both him and the club for him to find somewhere else.

"I have a lot of respect for him, he's a proud man and a very good senior pro. It has all been very amicable.

"He has an excellent attitude and is a great example to the younger players on how to look after yourself and carry on playing at an older age.

"I've told him to look for another club and he understands that but he politely declined Brighton's offer last week."

"There are other players, both out and under contract come the summer, that I've spoken to who will be looking for pastures new.

"The only constant in football in change and we have to accept that."
