Today's complete-and-utter-bollocks quote from the Amex comes from David Stockdale...

1. “We’re not in a relegation fight." - yes, yes we are.

2. "I firmly believe that. If we keep playing and getting in the positions we did on Friday, with the talent we’ve got we’ll come through it." - we were utter toilet on Friday. More of the same is an express journey to relegation central.

3. “Everyone goes through bad spells and hopefully our good spell will come from now till the end of the season." - a bad spell? A bad spell? Really?

Vacant expression: "These are not the droids we're looking for".

What do you want him to say? We are up shit creek without a paddle?

No. The usual "we're in a bad place but we think we have what it takes to get out of it" type stuff. Denial of being in a relegation scrap and referring to this run as a "bad spell" is stretching it all a bit.

The other magic quote in today's Argus was that Hyypia claimed to have plans B and C but the players haven't been able to carry them out. One of these plans appears to be using a long throw. Now in my book that doesn't qualify as a plan.

Bunch of jokers our players, but what is new? Can some tell them that what they write in newspapers is just chip paper. Greer, Stockdale, Hypia and the rest of the jokers running around in our blue & white stripes are judged by points. They already have taken the club to the best we can hope for is mid table and the worst is relegation. Time they shut up and started to show some fight on the pitch.

How about admitting we are in trouble and that we need to roll our sleeves up and fight for our lives. Perhaps he can explain where we need to be to be in relegation fight. How many points adrift do we need to be? Wake up an smell the coffee Stockdale.

We could have played millwall for 6 hours last Friday and still wouldn't have scored. What is going on? Everything coming out of the club seems to be blatant denial and spin. Admit where we are and move on!

Is Stockdale thick, or does he, and by extension the club, think that we are thick? To say the things that Bozza has quoted above suggests an absolute disconnect from the fans, and from reality.

What do I want him to say? I want to hear the players accepting that they have not been good enough, and that things need to change, enormously, now. To suggest that Millwall was anything but a complete disaster, to suggest that we are not fighting for our place in this league...well, it's deluded doublespeak, isn't it?

Expect more of the same after todays game .... you could practically re-run any of the hapless finns after match interviews and it would sound the same rather like Groundhog day ..... he just never seems to learn or take in anything he witnesses on the pitch.

Shouldn't be in the team . Was a mistake dropping Walton as we were starting to get results

Indeed, Walton get dropped for letting single goals in, Dropdale goes 2,2 & 3 and keeps his place & we still lose the next.
This season is the worst hand that Tony has ever played
nb (0-1 Bent today, if not see previous line & delete this one)
