We used to buy all our ASC Strikers kits, training balls etc through David Rose - first class service as well a real shame they folded.

Use Broadwater Sports now.

Best "traditional" sports shop in West Sussex is David O'Jones in Littlehampton.

Superb shop (apart from being in Littlehampton). A place with proper service, that stocks half sizes, that actually has the stock rather than the JJB 'sorry, we've only got size 6 boots left' style of service and the bloke in there (Tingle?) still has the pen on a bit of elastic hanging from the ceiling!

Broadwater Sports was the business a few years ago but Ricky took his eye off the ball when they got tied into Intersport and lost a fair bit of custome and goodwill. Glad to see them getting back to basics now.

I remember when David Rose shut, both my brothers(keen sport fans) were gutted.

Swifts is still great but f***ing hell, we need more than one.

how can pikey shit ville sport/soccer exist ahead of these true shops?

there will be a backlash... i can't wait for it.

You go into a shop and see a row of football boots or cricket bats, all at massively different prices, and you ask the assistant what is the difference between each type of bat, why one is one price, and one is another? In JJB, Sports Soccer etc, you get a monosyllabic grunt.
Probably you only get a grunt in Sports Soccer, because hardly anyone in the shop can understand English. Those whose first language is English have to pause for a few minutes after being asked a question, untill their two brain cells bump into each other.

Well, the only way the "little man" will survive is if we shop at there establishments rather than the JJB types. I only ever buy my Cricket gear from Swifts

That is it
