Thank the LORD, that Prutton's agent cocked us about, and we 'lost out' on signing him.

We had to settle for Jack Sparrow, instead.

What a marvellous turn of events.

Both.

Prutton showed some lovely passing and touches and always wanted the ball off his defenders - something our midfield seemed to be lacking a little at the weekend.

Just because he did not sign for us does not make him crap.

Er no. The fact that he looked out of shape, off the pace, and contributed very little to the game, before getting subbed off, does though.

He was one of Swindon's better players from where I was watching.

A couple of lovely passes, hungry for the ball, just a little lacking in match sharpness.

Hampered by a lack of any movement from Swindon's frontmen.

For Swindon, the left back Rose was good. Jean Christophe was excellent. Amanwaah decent too, although should have done better with a free header from a corner, first half. McGovern was okay.

Prutton was average at best.
And out of shape.

i hardly think you can judge a player after one game. remember the rave reviews hawkins was receiving after a few games, or the fact that navarro was considered utter gash for his first few months

I thought Prutton fell over a little too often too easily and seemed to have a problem taking up the same positions as Douglas which was why their midfield never got going. Hungry for the ball and used it well though. Once they sort out their respective roles he will be very good for them.

I wouldn't say no to him but I am very very happy with what we've got

Prutton is a dirty animal and paired with Jonathon Douglas, they have one of the dirtiest central midfield pairings you're ever likely to see at this level. Appalling.

JP McGovern is easily their best player.
