Read a couple of articles about him on The Athletic today. 1 said when he was at Chelsea he mainly stayed in the penalty box and didn't have much space to defend. Which seemed to suit him a lot more than how Arsenal are (or were seeing as that was probably his last game for them) trying to play him. Also aside from Luiz the most penalties caused this season by individual players in the PL is 2. Luiz has caused 4.

A player whose style is, l think, totally unuiited to Premier League football. He has always done well for his country, and would have been better off plying his trade in his native South America, or perhaps in La Liga, where the game is less physical, and we would have more time on the ball.

his style is not suited to defense. wants to get up pitch and do more, he's a midfielder in heart and never understood why plied his trade at the back.

Although the £8m signing of an experienced player from their London rivals seemed like great business at the time, it seems as though Arsenal have shelled out far more than they could have possibly imagined.

According to The Athletic, the club paid out as much as £8m to intermediaries to ensure the deal went through smoothly and have now paid all of his £10m-a-year salary.
