I have been sitting on the fence with Lopez, but he was brilliant last night. Was good to see someone in the team that could take a corner. He creates space and his movement is quality, you can tell he has experience in Spain.

Thought he had a good 1st half Saturday and a good 2nd half last night so perhaps a good 90 mins against Blackburn. The problem was that we were totally unbalanced in the first half and Gus made a mistake in picking 3 central defender and 2 wing backs but credit to him he put it right early on, although it was very obvious from the first minute. I think Lopez great strength is the manner in which he can kill a ball and he has a football brain unlike Buckley who is a brilliant player with no football brain.

Yes, he certainly is improving and I like the way Spanish players we have bring people into the game. His corners were a million times better than satdi and his free kicks were terrific.

It will be interesting if and when Lopez, Orlandi and Vicente are all fit....

My main critism is our total inability to play fast football.....we very rarely see us galloping up the other end. I think that is where our frustrations lie

Agree with all that, and Lopez is exciting as he can play one touch football with accuracy and confidence, as was Orlandi before he got injured. If the holy trinity are all fit in the new year - bring it on!

My thoughts as well. Lopez finally showed us some glimpses of what he can do last night. Long may it continue.

I thought he did really well after being moved to right back. He got caught out of position a couple of times but otherwise was solid and certainly provided the much needed overlap that we were missing before the change in formation.
