Mr Bellotti.

I have moved to Australia and recently met a gentleman who decided to support the Albion in 1979 all the way from Melbourne. To meet a Brighton fan so far from home was a great feeling for me.

The first question he asked me was ‘what happened?’ my reply was that I would need to long to explain and maybe we should sit down for a beer and I tell him the whole sorry story. The next few days amazed me as all the hurt and anger came back to me, memories of sitting at the Goldstone at the bottom of the league, being lied to, cheated by the men who were looking after one of our towns most prized assets. I remembered sitting at a mates house at around midnight, when his little sister came down in tears......”I’m so worried about the Albion...are we going out of business” she sobbed.

I don’t expect you to care about this email....hell I don’t even expect a man like you to read it. But I hope you know the pain and hurt you and your cronies caused in the town of Brighton. How you can still be working in the public domain amazes me.

As for a strong interest in Association Football. You got your 30 pieces of silver, does your interest stretch further that that?

I hope you are never allowed to step foot in Brighton again (save for bonfire night).

How do you sleep Mr Bellotti? How do you live with the pain you caused?
