BBC - David Bond: Beckham continues to take centre stage

Wants to carry on as long as he can, he is supposedly good enough for PSG to make an offer. Whilst others beleive he's not good enough even for the championship!

So IF we say Gus could pull off some magic and persuade him to join, and sort out the wages issue....

WOULD YOU WANT HIM?

P.S-No i know it wouldn't happen and i'm not attempting some stupid rumour, just asking the question.

Course we would have him. Have we had 1 decent corner this year ???

But bit like saying he would go to Barnsley.

Incidentally, PSG probably just want him to sell shirts and for marketing to make PSG well-known as an international brand. As good as Pastore is (and I understand he's been IMMENSE), I don't think he's particularly marketable.

What he said. I don't think he's good enough to make the starting 11 for any Premiership club and would struggle to make an impact on a lot of Championship ones. But he will bring you publicity, interest and money from shirt sales. Also could never understand how he could take a great free kick but a shit penalty.

I would give my season ticket to some plastic JCL.

I would leave my seat free - as a mark of protest , we don't seem to have trouble selling Albion shirts at the moment do we?

Eh? Why? He's still a good enough footballer to make quite an impact at this level. I couldn't care less about selling shirts. He'd be an asset to the team! It's a ridiculous conversation mind. DB certainly wouldn't ever be coming close to the championship!

of course he'd be good enough for this league........don't know why anyone would question that

however, he basically has the pick of LOADS of clubs wanting his signature.......most of them far bigger and far more able to pay higher wages than us

not gonna happen

Yes that's right. Former England captain and one of the most distinguished footballers of his generation ISN'T good enough for Brighton & Hove Albion. We've got a superb team that would have NO use for a player who built one of the most glittering footballing careers in history, one his 'one trick'.

My WORD.

Brighton fans embarrass me at the moment, they really do.

Saw him play last Sunday against Red Bulls. Played well in the first half and set up the goal.

Its not just Brighton fans, for some reason a lot of people really don't rate him as a player i mean what has he ever done to prove himself, has he ever won any league titles or the champions league.

Let me see, league titles. Yep, he won the Premier League title six times with Manchester United. He has also won The Champions League (again with United).

Other than that he hasn't done a lot... only winning The FA Cup (twice), the La Liga, and the Supercopa de España.

He does hold the all-time appearance record for an outfield player for England and he's been runner up for the FIFA Footballer of the year - twice. He is also third in the Premier League's all time time assist table.

I think that answered your questions.

Exactly, only third in the assist list, if he was any good he'd be top, anyone can put a cross into the box and why wasn't he on the end of his assists scoring the goals as well.

Plus he didn't really win the league titles on his own did he, i'm sure he was just a passenger and they won the league despite him.
