Whatever happened to the ex-Leeds 'hardman'?

No idea, but I read an interesting piece about Danny Wallace the other day. He has MS and very rarely leaves the house. He is incapable of kicking a football about with his youngest kid.

I'd like to know why he's "hardman"? Of all the supposed tough guys of recent years i'd say he's the most deserving of the title.
Roy Keane was hardman man of the early naughties, and Stuart Pearce hard man of the 90's.
Why ex Leeds, he had his best days at Newcastle?
David Batty was quite a rarity in the football world, he wasn't a football fan. He played because he was good at it, and it paid well, but he had absolutely no interest in the game. That's probably why he's never seen on telly. Supposedly he's big on motor biking.
