This is why Darwin is the one we must land. He is much closer to the type of striker we need than, say, Edouard
I’d still be happy with Edouard but I agree with you. Darwin seems much more adept in the air but it’s his astonishing decision making in and around the box that gave him double figures goals and assists last season. He seems a level up to Edouard in terms of dribbling and passing too but Edouard would be enough to apply the necessary pressure and competition to Maupay if we can’t get Nunez.
Problem is, Nunez seems to have the sort of window of potential people were talking about with White so he might not be here that long if he adjusts quickly and starts bagging the goals.

“DARWIN AT THE CALL FOR BARCELOS
BENFICA 08:33
by Nuno Paralvas
Almost three months after having had an operation on his right knee, there is Darwin Núñez. The 22-year-old forward is the main news of Jorge Jesus' squad for this afternoon's game, in Barcelos, with Gil Vicente. The return to competition happens earlier than initially planned and the Uruguayan international will already be able to add the first minutes this season in this afternoon's game.
Good news for the Benfica coach who is back with an important option for attack, when he doesn't have Seferovic (injured) and lost Luca Waldschmidt, whose transfer to Wolfsburg is close to becoming official (see page 3). The coach now has at his disposal the striker he asked for last season and for which Benfica paid €24 million to Almería, who reserved the right to a 20 percent capital gain in a future transfer.”
Ebola
They’d better hope he doesn’t break down
40m euros or no deal. Just move on before losing out on other targets.
