Andone so much better than people give him credit for. £15mil player for sure.

Is he still injured?

It would be briliant if he was fit to join in pre season and lost / was cured of his apparent attitude.

A great "new" signing.

I don't think the problem is his quality, I agree he's easily worth £15 million, but I wonder given the current climate how many clubs will take a punt on £15 million on a player we clearly want to get rid of, and rightly or wrongly has a been percieved as a problem player. I think we might struggle to get £15 million for him. Just my opinion but I think we'd let him go fo £6 or £7million.

Problem player with two bad injuries in the last year.

Do well to get £5m

Nunez looks like the right sort of player to give us a good balance of options up top.

I've not heard the Warren A comments referenced earlier but they do rather suggest a Faragian view of the world.

Sure the Spanish second division might not be up to much, but that's not his fault and he's still done a job using all the attributes the Albion has occasionally been missing.

If this lad had scored 16 goals for Pompey last season, Wazza would be all over him like a rash.
That's before taking into account he's a Uruguayan international

He was also a "non-gamble". The club paid £5 million as part of a relegation release clause. They have probably made a chunk of that back in a loan fee from Galatasaray already and will be able to sell him on for a generous profit.

Arguably, he has already paid his fee back by scoring four goals in four wins against relegation rivals (Huddersfield X 2, Palace and Watford). Get rid for the obvious reasons but also well done the club for a good bit of business.

This.

A minority of posters on here still keep on and on and on about our poor recruitment. Change the record, lads, it's getting on my tits.

10 fouls in the first 15 minutes.

This is a game its own mother would struggle to love.

Off out now.

The boy's got some pace to him, but the top knot has got to go.

Yes - he suffered a knee injury playing for Galatasaray on June 14th. It was subsequently reported that he had suffered both MCL and ACL tears in his right knee, and that he had undergone successful surgery in July.

Makes sense if they are staying down to get the bid in (if we are interested)

He’ll be out injured until at least the start of next year, maybe back March/April time considering what injury he had.

I think out of all the random foreign punts we've been linked with, this is the one that excites me the most.

16 goals isn't a bad return for a team as defensive as Almeria, and the league itself is pretty void of attacking teams. You've got to have something about you to get a Uruguay cap, especially as a striker. Tall, fast & a good age. Sounds perfect for what we need.

I'll admit this opinion is based entirely on his showreel but he looks a talent to me. Quick, understands the importance of getting across the defender and looks a natural goalscorer to me. I can see him becoming a real player in the future..

Do you think Gus will put in a good word for us?
