What really strikes me looking at the highlights is how much better their ground looks compared to Withdean. How did we manage 3 seasons in the 2nd tier of English football there?

I envy my colleague who earns the same wage as me and lives on the Clyde, near a castle, and close to Loch Lomond with more disposal income than me living in Brighton. I've often thought about moving up as I'm often implored to do.

Being someone whose work is mostly based in Scotland, it's beautifully ignorant comments like yours which give me no surprise at why some may dislike the English. Except that most don't.

Scotland is a great place to live if, like England, you choose the right area. And, yes, it is mostly cheaper. But again, you have to choose the right area.

Hasn’t Scotland got a reputation for hating the English !

That’s if you can understand what they are saying ..terrible weather, unhealthy diets , not many jobs , poor standard of football what’s too like . Oh it’s cheap to live there .

Well that’s completely wrong, my other half is Scottish been there loads of times the majority I would say are better off than the average person in the south. All those who want to work do, have a cheap mortgage to pay most drive decent cars and because of the cheap mortgage can afford a couple of holidays a year. All working youngsters can own property fairly quickly because it’s affordable.
Plenty of English live there especially in Edinburgh no one bats an eyelid that I’m English and I go to the Glasgow area when we visit.
But yes the weather is terrible in winter bitterly cold. Great snow though.
