Darren Currie - Centre Midfield

theres 50 games (at least) to be played, no player plays them all. you need 8 good midfielders for a decent shot at promotion. Currie gives somthing different, against certain oppostion or maybe in the depths of winter on slower muddy pitches, he will turn games for us.

There's far more to Currie's game than putting in good crosses.

Just because he has little pace does not mean he can't run. Depending on what Micky's got in mind for the team formation this season, putting Currie in the middle, possibly just behind the forwards - in the kind of role Cox occasionally played in last season - could work out well.

It works only against certain opposition. As much as it was reviled, I remember us beating Leyton Orient up at their place 4-1 with the diamond in operation.

I was thinking of a 3-5-2 formation, actually.

The diamond may be ok with better players. Last year we got a couple of lucky results with it away but apart from that it let us down + maybe was the difference between getting in P.O's. Port Vale !!!
