Might be worth a punt on a short term deal ... seems to have some things we are lacking ... career seems to have gone off the rails and Millwall seemingly weren't interested but who knows? We are defo lacking in that area (amongst others)

I suspect the reason he was unable to get a new deal with Preston may have had something to do with the £500 k appearance related add-on they may have had to pay WBA. The fact that he hasn't found a club yet this season seems to speak for itself though, unless he's absolutely sensational this week leave well alone.

Darrens a bit of a light weight... better than Dicker but very similar. Not sure its what we want.

when we picked Calderon up, he had been without a plug for about 8 months, should we have left him 'well alone' ?

West Brom signed him for £1.5m in 2005.

What type of player is he? Defensive hard man that will break up the play and give it to someone else to do their thing or is he more attacking

Spoke to a 'wall friend who said he's a luxury player, and not a very good one at that.

More of a Dicker then a 'midfield destroyer'.

Should the same have applied to Vicente?

Gus will be make his own mind up based on what he sees now. Whether he was worth £1.5 million in 2005 or whether he was rubbish for Millwall last year are irrelevant. It is what, if anything, he can add to the squad that counts. At 27 he should still be hungry enough to want to ressurect his career and this may be one of his last opportunites to do so.

A male is at his sexual peak at 27 (apparently).
