Atom Heat Mother & Meddle...I have only listened to 4 Floyd albums I think. DSOTM, Wish You Were Here and I own The Wall and Momentary Lapse of Reason. Out of these The Wall is my favourite.
I'll fire Spotify shortly and listen to some more of their back catalogue over the next few days.
MostI wonder how many, like myself having never smoked a fag of dubious content, find this album self-indulgent nonsense.
Funnily enough, only tried hash a few times...never wanted to risk drugs, always worried that if I liked them I'd have to keep on them. Never done pills or powders eitherYou need more hash
Never smoked … let along anything dubious But love DSOTM. I was too young for earlier PF albums … this one and WYWH caught me just at the right time although even then they’d been out a couple of years before I first heard them.I wonder how many, like myself having never smoked a fag of dubious content, find this album self-indulgent nonsense.
Both absolutely brilliantAtom Heat Mother & Meddle...
Same, a ridiculous amount of hash, not much grass and acid a couple of times. I have done coke but it made me a bigger dickhead than I am naturally, so stopped pretty quickly. Never done pills.Funnily enough, only tried hash a few times...never wanted to risk drugs, always worried that if I liked them I'd have to keep on them. Never done pills or powders either
Seen them 10+ times, absolutely love them, Nick Barrett and his wife Rachel are lovely, stayed at their B& B in Bude.
Not of this world is one of my favourite albums.Nicks guitar work is up there with the best.watch him from 6:40

Syd was good until he lost it or whatever happened to him.Sorry, Syd Barrett fan here, it was all overblown shite after Piper at the Gates of Dawn.
I remember the Cottage with great fondness. It was a Sunday afternoon haunt for us after the Canoe club.Fond memories of putting “See Emily play” on the juke box in the Cottage coffee bar in the early 70’s.
Everyone has an opinionI wonder how many, like myself having never smoked a fag of dubious content, find this album self-indulgent nonsense.
This'll sort you out.I wonder how many, like myself having never smoked a fag of dubious content, find this album self-indulgent nonsense.

Dogs is up there with the very best of Floyd stuff
Thanks. I’ll probably start at the beginning and listen in order. I’ll make a note of these suggestions though.Atom Heat Mother & Meddle...
Atom Heart Mother is their most 'experimental' album, some lovely stuff on it. Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast is my favourite PF Track.Thanks. I’ll probably start at the beginning and listen in order. I’ll make a note of these suggestions though.
This'll sort you out.
That really does go on a bit too long.Equally divisive I guess and also 50 years old this year is Tubular Bells. I'm heading to The Dome Sunday evening ...
