Henderson was one of those classic cases that when NSC decides a player is shit, he must be shit. Never mind what he did for Reading, never mind his useful partnership with Leon, never mind his current form for Swindon.

But a pointless discussion really, because we're not in a position to outbid Swindon for a player.

Well we can only judge on what he did for us. His finished his 2 month loan spell by being dropped from the 1st team in favour of Chris Mcphee and never scored from open play.

He was the worst forward player we had last season.

I personally didn't think he was any worse than McPhee and thought in time he might of struck up a useful partnership with Leon.

Saying that though I did used to rate Simon Funnell so I'll leave it there.

McPhee actually scored about 10 goals in 20-odd games last season... he worked his socks off, and none of his goals were pens...

Henderson, on the other hand, never looked interested when playing for us... he contributed nearly zero to our team... unlike LI, I can see why most BHA fans rate "Hendo" as poor... having said that, when he got off of his ar$e, he clearly knew how to head the ball...

Personally, I think / hope we can do a lot better...

Worth noting also that a number of Leon's penalty goals were as a direct result of Chris McPhee being brought down in the box.

:nono:

how can you judge a player on 7 games?

o yes i forgot this is nsc never give a player a chance or over react to a crap player piamonte(spl) is a good example

2 goals in 7 games is a good record after you have just joined a new club, id bet most people would settle for 2 goals in 7 games from leon now.

OK... he may well have improved, but he was poor for us, and those 7 games is all that we can judge him on... I think we can do better... if we can't, then stick with McPhee...

I wouldn't take him now I come to think about, but only because I couldn't put up with the moaners around me whinging about him from the first moment he touches the ball. He wasn't great, but he was hardly shit - and we've had plenty of that - people really do go OTT over him.

Henderson was rubbish for us and wasn't interested bar grabbing the ball out of Leon's hands at Oldham (so much so that Danny had to go to the pen spot to sort out the tantrums)

I watched him when a corner was taken at Hartlepool away and he had his back turned to the corner kick. How on earth is he going to score when he can't even watch the ball??

His goal ratio at Swindon so far has been impressive.

But while at the Albion he looked distinctly average.

Henderson was a donkey when he played for us. There is now a tug of war for his services between Swindon and Bristol City. My guess is he will end up at City as they have greater financial clout.
