I'd have Welbeck on his own but it would be part of a strategy that is non GP friendly

I don't see him as the long term solution, (even if we do give him a longer deal) but he might buy us some time to get some academy players through, find someone on the open market or get Connolly (still very young) more consistent and in the right areas to score goals

Suspect that’s the club’s thinking given his 1 year deal. That said, can easily see that being extended - can definitely still do a job, experience, influence on the younger strikers etc etc.

Welbz certain no1 striker. Can see connolly being loaned out and unfortunately Maupay being sold to another club. Leaving us with room for 1 other striker next season to play alongside Welbz with Swiss Andy on bench

Apparently, according to the man himself, he is the second fastest sprinter in the squad ! guess that sums up perfectly the pedestrian nature of our squad compared to many others in the division.
