Some of you may have noticed that as Danny strikes the ball there is an odd double hit sound.
Having watched pretty much everything around our winner I have discovered that this sound is nothing to do with action on the pitch.
It's Yasin Ayari flattening the tactics board having jumped out his seat in anticipation.

My first opinion of his signing is the shittest thought I've ever had.

He may well be talked about in Ward/Zamora terms by the time he's done here. I mean in terms of quality, he's actually probably better than both.
I remember!

And fair play to you for being so honest about it 👏

Bit of custard with that humble pie!

fwiw I don't think any of us could forsee just how important he'd be to the club as a whole..... player, mentor, ambassador.

After all of his huge injury problems, it was a gamble thats paid off spectacularly.

Ward, Zamora and Murray are, quite rightly, Albion legends.

But Danny has, and continues to play at a different level. He was twice runner up in England's best player of the year, to Rooney and Gerrard and if he's not still playing at that level, I'd suggest the level he's playing at is pretty bloody close.

He's the best I've seen in an Albion shirt

I totally agree. But Peter Ward was simply the most exciting, spectacular, pop idol goal machine who, since 1956, I ever saw playing for Brighton. I met Peter, and he was so slender that you felt a puff of wind would blow him away - but his speed and nimbleness helped him to score outrageous goals.

Back to Danny - just simply - a lovely guy. Absolute admiration.
