Massive respect to Arsenal fans who sang his name when sub'd. Respect. What was the problem with home fans joining in? I might be biased as he is my fav Albion player but hang on ok we were getting well beaten etc., but it wasn't a bad performance they were just playing like I believe they will be league champions. I'm annoyed it was an opportunity for 30k fans to pay respects to Danny Welbeck. So if you are reading this Danny thanks for everything you've given to football and this great club.

Didn't recognise they were singing his name. I don't think anyone is disrespecting the bloke.

It wasn't his game today. No decent delivery to the forwards

Nothing to see here. Arsenal fans just singing the name of a former player. We would have done the same if White or Trossard had been subbed off... oh, wait a minute.

They sung his name loudly when subbed, fair play to them. But they were 3-0 up. The question is, would they have chanted his name had he been subbed when they were losing, especially if Welbeck had scored a goal or two against them tonight. No, I don't think so.

A very early lesson I learnt was that it's easy to be magnanimous in victory but difficult to be magnanimous in defeat. As this post demonstrates.

Isn't that known as the Pep lesson, Brighton are a wonderful team when we beat them, but if they dare to take any points off us........

They didn’t sing it when we thumped them 3-0 last year, so the answer is no.
