They wouldn't get £5m if he had years left on his deal, decent player though he is. Maybe the "£2m offer" they have rejected comes with conditions and is a pittance up front. I'll have a stab that he moves on deadline day for an undisclosed amount (more up front, but no more than £2m.)

Recall Cotterill coming out with exactly this valuation for Baldock when we approached and more or less same managerial bulls*** comments, and that worked out at around £1.5m reported.

Now you come to mention it, you are quite right. Worzel's original valuation was ridiculously high. We wore him down in the end though.

That completely disregards Knockeart being a once in a blue moon deal that we were extremely lucky to get. If thats the value for money you are expecting going forward we will never make another signing.
