My line up for Tuesday:

-----Stockdale-----
Bruno---Dunk--Hughes---Chicksen
--------Toko----Ince--------
March----Crofts/Holla----Teixara
------------COG/CMS--------------

Subs: Greer, Fenelon, Harris, Ankergren, Calderon, JFC, Augstien

Crofts is still banned, and whichever out of CMS and COG doesn't start, you'd leave them out completely?

Madness I tell thee. Madness

Sounds more like a Crofts type player than a Bridcutt type player. If Sami's correct and he can dictate play then that's an improvement on what we've got already, if need be and he falls back into a defensive position, then so be it. By the sounds of it though, he's our marauding midfielder who'll get stick in and initiate the attack.

That's assuming we have no one come in between now and Tuesday.
Don't agree. He will dictate play from one of the positions in front of the back 4

Good thing I put Crofts/Holla then isn't it.

We'll see, that maybe his preferred position, but whether he's used there or not we won't know until Tuesday. If Toko is still injured, then replace Holla with Toko and I'd imagine JFC or heaven forbid, Agustien behind the strikers.

If I had it my way, I'd have COG behind CMS to play through balls, but that's unlikely.

How would he have seen him play? He's not been with a team all summer and Hyypia only became our manager in June. I assume our scouts have seen him play and that they've described him to Hyypia and he's the sort of player who Hyypia thinks will fit his style.

Isn't that partly why you have pre-season friendlies? Whatever happened to A. Trialist anyways?

Blackpool took him and his 8 twin brothers.

This lad could do a job...looking at the dross we have in the midfield i think this box to box lad and the liverpool lad will be a big improvement.Just ashame we can't get shot of some of our midfielders who offer nothing whats so ever.

Goner stick my neck out and say this lad may well be a good signing :)

Against Sheff Wed JFC played deep in front of the back 4 and attempted quick transitions with long balls forward. This is where I think you will see him play with Tex in the enteral AMC role

On a side note, does anyone know how long until Stephens returns? Looked quality last season and should be a starter once he recovers.

Some people are very hard to please aren't they! If he had signed on a free for Bournemouth/Derby etc, we would have had the same people saying "why weren't we in for him!" blah blah blah!

Anyway from those who follow Dutch footie have said they are very surprised he signed for us as they expected him to sign for a top Dutch team, as he is an excellent player apparently. So I'm looking forward to seeing him play in a deep lying role. That way he can control the tempo of the play.

However he hasn't had a pre season so I should imagine it'll be a couple of weeks before he can last 90 min.

Trial? Closed door game?

Well, i'm sure he's better than nothing at all. Hopefully he'll be match-fit in no time and able to spray the ball around to other signings we speedily make to give ourselves a chance this year.

I'm Holla t'love
I'm so lost without you
I know you were right
