I've never understood why we don't go for more obvious loanees such as Holt, Graham, Becchio etc and instead keep going for foreigners like Colonga this time, Rodriguez last season.

Grant Holt is completely out of the question, even if he was fit. Does not like Hughton tactics.

Graham did nothing down here last season except score a late goal and complain at the rotten service he was getting.

Becchio caused problems running around at corners, more than any other player, but the rest of his play was not exceptional.

I would like to see us get a mobile target striker and a pacy winger and I doubt if we could do better than Darren Bent and Elliott Bennett. That will give the other sides enough to worry about.

Possibly but he won't want to sit on a bench somewhere. He knows if fit he would start for is.

He is out of contract in the summer so will be looking to seal a deal hence Derby, if they get promoted or Palace if he can help keep them up sounds more likely.

It does look like the combined wages of Macca and O'Grady might go some way towards paying the Bent wages. But if he cries off injured
