Whisper I heard was we were getting a striker from a Welsh club.......so probably Newport or Wrexham.....dont suppose its Bony from Swansea

Will go down as one of the more bizarre posts in recent times. I don't think 'they' are saying they ballsed up, recruitment-wise. We are clearly struggling, hovering one place above relegation. Something isn't right. So let's bring in some players on loan in the hope we can rectify this. What's not to understand?
At the start of every season there are about 16-18 teams in each league that firmly believe they can get promoted or at least reach the playoffs. After a while some of those teams realise their targets aren't achievable with what they have - and those teams have to readjust their targets or readjust their playing staff. last year it was teams like Birmingham and Bolton and this year it's us (and Birmingham and Bolton again). It's not mismanagement, it's the way team sport is.

The club are working hard to get a striker in, but as far as I know Danny Graham is not an imminent arrival.

? We sign a keeper that we didn't really need, and much loved as Benno is, that was somewhat of a luxury too, yet a striker who knows where the goal is, is fast becoming a necessity?!?!

It's funny isn't it. If we did sign a striker with a record like that, sections of this forum would be going on about us wasting wages on some Premier League has been.
We'll see with Graham. I remain far from convinced he would have been the answer.
