That's a relief .... I feared this had been bounced due to some further bad news regarding his condition.

I was gutted for him when I heard this on a podcast the other day, but it had become increasingly apparent of late that his infrequent appearances on his show was due to something rather serious.

He really is a true great of the airwaves. I used to catch his breakfast show on LBC a few years back, and it turned a horrible daily drive to Tottenham into something i almost looked forward to. The guy is sheer class, and a proper old school football fan to his core.

I always think of him when I sit down, struggle and ultimately give up on bothering with a Premier League fantasy football game. When asked about it he once said ... "I just can't do it. Finding that cheap left back at Spurs, no chance! Because when it comes down to it I don't know enough about these players, I don't know their names. If he doesn't play for Millwall, then I just don't care."

This is really good news. I cant think what or how ill feel when i get the all clear.

I had the same form of cancer in 1995 as Danny had and had similar treatment but am pleased to say that as far as the hospital can say I am fully recovered and after 15 years it is unlikely to return. So good luck to Danny and yes your tastebuds etc will return to normal although in my case I do not like tea very much since they have come back.
