Actually, yes.

Their respective short spells at Boca were almost exactly concurrent (Alexis June 2019 - 31st Jan 2020 / de Rossi July 2019 - 6th Jan 2020).

De Rossi only made a handful of appearances, but they definitely played together, including starting together in midfield in this Copa Argentina match (which they lost on penalties, with Alexis missing one...) :

Great find. They shared the pitch 6 times by the looks of things, would've been 7 but Mac came off for DDR.

I cannot get my head round that. They feel like they come from entirely different eras of the game.

Indeed. Still not quite as good as Milner playing with both Jack and Adam Hinshelwood, though!

Worthing

Once again, very likeable. Classy post-match comments about us and RDZ. Clearly tactically astute as well - they had a plan to constrain us in the second leg and it mostly worked.

Probably out of our range for now, but would love him to be an option should RDZ leave us.
Whilst talking Roma, I liked their ‘reserve’ forwards, far better movement than ours and looked a handful when they broke.

Classy? A bit patronising IMO.

Anyway if those were his ‘b’ strikers I’d happily take the little lad (wearing 53?) he was a handful all night.

I’ve got one minor gripe with all the UEFA branding rules - the scoreboard, annoying that you can’t check oppo player names, is it to try to force fans to buy a programme?

I'm sure it was 35. And yes I agree with you thought he was a fabulous player!
