Now then, Cucurella would be a great signing, Cucurella and Nunez will be incredible, but Cucurella, Nunez and James…

This is the only potential signing I would really, really want. I'd do the helicopter repeatedly if it happened.

Agreed.

Was Teams chatting to a colleague last night who is a Man Utd STH and was getting in a bit of a froth about CR7. I said to him "at least this means we can ask about getting Dan James on loan". His reply was "I was just about to suggest you took Dan James off us".

Our lack of pace was sorely exposed yesterday, while Dan James won't be getting a sniff of a start now Ronaldo is at United. A loan deal makes perfect sense; even without the Potter Swansea connection he should still be on our radar.

Quite a rumours of us being interested in him due to the fact Potter had him before. However, the articles tend to mention this sort of thing:

“The Welshman signed for United two years ago in a £15million deal, and having arrived from Swansea, it was always going to be a gigantic step up.

Although bright at times, and his pace is undeniable, fans were often left frustrated at his lack of end product.”

Very poor decision making after he has done his sprints. Headless cheetah.

Much the same criticism aimed at Solly March before CH and GP got to work with him. Ole is a poor manager with good players, GP is a good manager with decent players. I’d trust GP to make Daniel James kick on, if we manage to buy or loan him

I don't think this will happen, but if there was a whirlwind of activity at the end of this window that saw Biss leave but Nunez, Cucurella sign and Dan James in on loan then I'd be happy with that.

Decision making is so tough though. That’s why I think we’ve binned off Karbo (another pacy dribbler with potential).

It took Potter a season to convert March to a fantastic wing-back, I do wonder if he could fix James?

In Swanny’s clip, he gushes over James’ astonishing sprinting attributes but then adds he has ‘lots to learn’. He hasn’t learnt much at Utd, that’s for sure. We’d be getting essentially the same player Potter was moulding at Swansea. I’m sceptical on this but believe we’ll have him if Potter wants him.

If Biss leaves we’re in deep trouble. end of.

It would be nice to add someone like James or Lookman, fast attacking players that already know the league and wouldn’t need a massive settling in period.

He didn’t look like a player who was anything other than 100% committed yesterday, would he have played like that with a big money transfer about to happen in the next few days? Would we have even played him?,I will be genuinely shocked if he leaves in this window.

Almost as shocked as I’ll be if we sign a LB and a striker :lolol:

Available for Loan according to Alan Nixon

Leeds and Everton linked

Loan to buy would be needed for our ethos though, Shirley we could make an exception?
