I went to the game tonight but was quite far away from the end they scored at and have only just seen the TV highlights.

Dan,

you may be an england under 21 international and you may have lovely hair. Some may even say your are handsome in the face

BUT

for fucks sake you are playing SHIT at the moment.

Swindon playoff semi final home leg: you GIVE them a goal.
Cardiff: you play ok.
Reading away: you GIVE them a goal.
Plymouth at home: you GIVE them a goal (penalty) AND get sent off for your troubles.
Wigan: you actually play quite well.
Tonight: you GIVE them TWO goals.

That is FIVE goals you have GIVEN the opposition in SIX games.

We may as well biring Geoff Thomas back.

You don't contribute a great deal coming forward.

Sort it out you handsome, yet fairly talentless ****.

How you are an England under 21 international I will NEVER know!

England are in deep trouble if you are the future.

What a shit thread.

One thing that I noticed tonight is that Jarrett was showing signs of his bad attitude.

At the end of the first half I was standing by the south east corner flag and the ball came off a Brighton player and went out of play.

Kuipers had a right moan at Jarrett because he could easily have kept the ball in play had he bothered.

Factual correction, Reid's pass played Harding into trouble for the penalty and sending off, minimal if any contact with the Plymouth diver too. Harding not to blame.

Drop Virgo, he's not a full back. Move Hinshelwood to right back, and Harding to his slot in central midfield. Mayo at left back. Possibly replace Butters (total lack of pace) with El-Abd at RB and Hinsh in the centre.

Drastic I know, but it just might work

Let's just hope that McGhee is as good as we beleive him to be and he'll sort this mess out. All the things saind on here are true, players are out of position, inexperienced and not demonstrating teamwork.

Mayo back at LB, would be a start. On Sat he kept dropping back to there anyway, force of habit, and wayward Harding probably.

Bring back Kerry Mayo at left back

Please no. We can't go backwards. Things are bad enough already. Kerry can't cut it at this level. Even his supporters admit that much.

Mayo was excellent last time around in div 1. I think it was right he was dropped last season as he was not playing well (and Harding was excellent) but this does not make him a bad player overnight. He brings one thing Dan can't and that's EXPERIENCE which is vital at the moment, particularly as Dan's nerves must be in shreds after his two abbherations last night

Is Harding really that bad? I've never had the chance to see him play, so can't comment.
I have however had the pleasure of watching Mayo play many times. When he was in the third division, i didnt think he was very good. I hoped that adams would bring in a new left back for the second division. He didn't and mayo muddled his way through the season. In the first division i was convinced that we would get a new left back, but no, we were stuck with mayo. To start with he was appalling but after a while he managed to cope. This was however, when he was playing as a wing back rather than at full back. As a first division fullback he is not good enough. His lack of pace and general inability to do anything with the ball are all too clearly highlighted. I would be very sad if bringing mayo back into the team was seen as strengthening it. If he is the best we have to offer then frankly, we are f***ed.

I should say that i have nothing against mayo. Its good to see a brighton born and bred player playing for the club. And he always gives his best. I just dont think his best is good enough. He is o.k as cover for the odd game or two but anymore than that and well...

Taking into account Full Harris views it appears that Harding has a good game every other game on that we should play him on Saturday.

Unfortunately no manager even Arsene Wingher cannot legislate for individual errors and as happened last night to Dan Harding he made a couple. What about the numerous mistakes of Danny Cullip buty that is forgotten because he is a hero that nobody else wanted when he was on the transfer list.

kerry mayo is just not up to it granted dan harding was 2 blame for both goals but but think 1 just come of his knee and the other was a slip so i think he was a tad unlucky.

mayo's distrbution has got to be the worst of any full back in the country and he's not even that great a defender

Last time in Div 1 Myo was part of a 5 man defense including Cullip, Blackwell and Ingimarsson - plenty of quality there to cover up those litke "Kerryisms" that he is prone to.

This time round he will be part of a 4 man defense (unless we change formation) and seeing that kerry could hardly hack Div 2 or 3 football as part of a 4 man defense I don't see how anyone can say he would be the answer to our problems.

Harding is making mistakes and is not ideal but he is probably the best option we have and we have to hope he stops making schoolboy errors soon.

The only problem with Harding's display was the length of his studs. He slipped twice. The first slip cost us a goal, the second nearly a second.
