Therefore, to create a goal to catch us is ridiculous; in 3 matches time their target could be mathematically impossible, thus creating inevitable failure where there doesn't have to be any.

What's wrong with simply saying "our goal is automatic promotion"?

Point of interest - Dan Harding has the same agent as Liam Bridcutt. Not saying that automatically makes Bridcutt a money grabbing bastard who will crap on us having made his career for him but he's not been the quickest out of the blocks signing up a new contract has he?
