I see your point, but don't agree with it. Mooy has no control over his lack of hair, so that probably isn't fair game either, as it could be an insecurity of his. Maybe he couldn't give a shite, who knows.

And at the same time, Burn might be able to have complete bants about his missing finger - or conversely maybe he was bullied about it in school, or he still is troubled by a traumatic childhood experience, again, who knows.

Either way, why sing a song about it if we don't have to? Why risk upsetting a player about what is likely a sensitive subject of theirs?

You make a very reasonable point and on reflection I wholly agree that my thread could be seen as being in poor taste.

What I disagree with are the disproportionate and poorly judged responses from some posters. Weapons grade Nimrod and C*ntish, is over the top, and should be reserved for the likes of cunning fergus. Must be a slow news day for the meek.

I know a linesman (assistant ref) who done something similar jumping up to check the net in the goal and caught a ring on a hook on the crossbar, ouch

Same thing happened to an acquaintance of mine a few years back, his turn in goal and he was whiling away the time swinging back and forth on the crossbar. His wedding ring caught and his finger was no more. Horrible,

Do you not feel being upset by being called some names on faceless message board, for a post now now see as wrong, a little bit...

Maybe also a song about jonnyrovers missing brain?

Now hang on a minute, if I had a 'missing brain' I would be in a permanent vegetative state, and therefore registered disabled. Physical and mental disability is a protected characteristic under The Equality Act 2010. This means you have just abused a disabled person and you are encouraging people to make a song about me. How do you sleep at night? I'm SO OFFENDED!!!! SOmeoNe ShouT FoR A modERAtoR!!!!!

So Mooy's bald head is fair game but a missing digit makes me a 'weapons grade nimrod', 'c*ntish' etc?

What a pile of duplicitous hypocritical dickheads.

Pathetic.

Well that's not quite a fair comparison is it?

Mooy's hair is evident to all to see and is something he will probably expect to get picked up on.

I have known about Dan Burn's missing finger for precisely 1 hour and 29 minutes.
I would wager I'm not alone.

It's not something that people sing about, because it isn't immediately obvious, or talked about by either the player, the club or any media outlet.

Clearly it isn't something that DB is keen to bring into the public domain,

I do love a thread that spectacularly backfires, especially when the OP gets all arsey about it

Giving Norwich fans stick for having 6 fingers, of course, remains fair game

Did Perry Digweed have a song i can't remember

I was only about 4 when I watched Perry so I wouldn’t know. Is a relation (distantly) of a mate of mine (BHA fan) with the same surname though!
